Happy Shakespeare Day

April 23, 1564 - often conjectured to be Shakespeare's birthday, though without proof (we only know that he was baptized on the 26th). April 23, 1616 - the day on which he shuffled off this mortal coil.

Joining the 21st century

About damn time, you might say, I finally got a Flickr account going. The link is at the left.

Welcome Isabelle Marie!

No, no, that's not Guppy, he's a boy. Eric's youngest brother and his wife had their baby girl yesterday at 6:21 p.m. EDT, a few weeks ahead of schedule. She is a diminutive but healthy 5 lbs 13 oz and doing fine. I have been telling Guppy repeatedly in the past 24 hours that there is no need to follow his new cousin's example; we will be happy to wait until the end of the month for him to make his appearance. (Or at the very least, another 2 weeks would be awesome.)
